Movies are enhanced depending on their content, potential for providing an innovative experience, according to the directors' whim, or all of the above – by new soundtracks, dance troupes, magic shows, or simultaneous ad-libbed lines. ZüriCarneval – Not nearly as big as the fasnacht in Basel or Luzern, Zurich’s little mardi gras nonetheless leaves the Niederdorf strewn with confetti each year. February 24 to 26. www.zuerichcarneval.ch/
